B8 A4 taillights

as anyone seen the North American B8 A4 tails up close? I know we were promised, early on, LED's for the rear, but I have seen no evidence of that so far. The Avant pics I've seen as of late, do show LED's, but the A5 seems not to have them and the amber signal is deleted as well. Personally, I hate the way Audi has dummbed down the NA taillight setups to the level of the average Chevy or Dodge with the "brake-light-does-all" theory. Its bad enough that Europe gets the amber rear signals and we always got the all reds, but that was an easy fix. What Audi has done to the NA A4cabriolet, A6, and A8 is completely unacceptable and sub-standard for a European made car. I don't know why they take the time and energy to do it to us Norte Americanos, but I hope they don't apply Ford/Chevy tails to my next A4.
