Default hi all

ive got a 2001 audi A6. but yesterday the dip stick is reading about 2 inches over the maximum, ive opened the drain plug and drained all the oil ant this is still the case with an over filled reading can some one help.

Having too much oil in engine may cause a damage to the catalyst (if you car got one). It has to be investigated why the oil stick showed more oil than max. Was that due to overfilling (then it's good to drain a certain amount of oil) or is that due to a leakage of the fuel system and fuel entered the oil system? If the latter has happened the viscosity went down and the low viscosity could damage the engine severely.
