 HELP...Any advice on buying 96 - 98 A8 Quattro? Hi Folks, My A6 auto transmission threw in the towel and its far too costly to repair against the value of the car.... so... i want to go for an A8. Ive never heard any major probs with these but i would seriously like some good advice from you A8 lovers. The spec of the car is UK and i want to go for a 4.2 quattro with the auto/tiptronic transmission. The general mileage for this age of car is between 100'000 and 150'000 miles. Ive always wanted an A8 and heard they are smoother than a Rolls but always wondered if they come with a ton of expensive inherant troubles. Please help.... i dont want to be left with another immaculate looking un-driveable Audi!! Your help is as ever, greatly recieved.  |
