Default Really want a A6, Just a few questions

Hello,

I'm really keen on getting a third generation A6. Due to financial restrictions i'll be getting one pre-owned. I was just wondering if there is anything a shopper for a 2nd hand A6 should be looking out for.

Thanks.

P.s Also was wandering, whats the acceleration like on of them? Never driven one personally

The acceleration feels nice mate, I feel it is different to most estates.

Look for all the usual mate, Check the SH and make sure to kick the tyres . If I was you I would definitely take a mechanic with you, to help you get a more thorough idea. There was a cut and shut Audi on local news the other week that they seized from a dealer. Where are you thinking of getting it from?

Cheers,
Ben

I was thinking of having a browse through the local auto trader tommorow at work. Thanks for the advice and should give me a few things to look out for! Anymore advice from you guys? If I definitely get one I may end up at the Audi garage though ,

Thanks in advance

The acceleration is perfect. I have never seen a car with better acceleration. You have the options: Sport, Drive, Neutral, Reverse, Parking. The gears shift very very smooth. You do not actually notice any shifts hence it goes that fast and smooth.

I never drove automatic before as well but now with my A6 I am a proud defender of the Audi automatic. If you are annoyed of it, you can just switch to Tip tronic and shift yourself easily. Audi has an inbuilt protection to prevent false use of the tip tronic; so your possibility of damaging something goes equal zero.

Let us know of your test drive .
