Need some coupe window regulator info Hey fellas. Well i got my new rebuilt coupe window regulator for the drives side, with cables, motor, everything i need.. bec my 89 coupes was shot all to hell (tension things broke, cables freyed, everything).. ok this is the thing.. my wiring off my old window motor went to the switch, but it had a yellow and green wire spliced into it comming from some wires that lead from the interior of the car (prob the relay area under the steering wheel). Well my new motor (the "new" regulator i got is from a 90 coupe i believe) has the same wire, BUT nothing has ever been spliced into it.. it just hooks up to the window switch... i pluged it in, and the window went up and down.. but what was the purpose of those wires that were spliced into my old motor wire? One thing it doesnt do now, is it does not go ALL the way down with one touch....
my question is, should i re splice those wires back into the motor wire like it was on my old one? or just leave it as is?? I just wanna know what they were for before i put the door panel back on. Those wires were spliced in at the factory, so i dunno.., what do you guys think?? |
