Default How and where do you get Xenon lights?

    Hey,

I've been looking for Xenon lights for my Audi A4 convertible for a while now and don't want to go for the cheap ones on Ebay. Any idea where I could get them without paying the large Audi price? Also, are they easy to install or would it have to be done proffesionally?

    Cheers,
    Ben

VVME.com ... there is no problems with fitment....as far as the bulb is concerned....but the ballast will not fit under the headlight like you see the audi HID's. i mounted them under the headlight on the bracket that is given with the kit to hold the ballast....it is beside the fender under the headlight on both sides.....and that way it hides all the wires...keeps it clean lookin under the hood... vvme.com is the way to go...if you want them quicker order them from ebay, unless you wanna order from vvme.com and wait like 14 days or more from them....

or ebay "03 A4 HID" and there will be ones with the red box.....with HID in gold right in the middle of the box....that is the same as vvme.com has...i believe this guy orders a whole crapload at once...so it is faster for people in america to get!!!!

let us know what you do!!

I got the 8000k and dont regret it at all....a great improvement of sight from the stock bulbs...and a great blue tint from them....i would recomend them...

Was the installation very easy? How hard on a scale of 1-10? How much did they cost you all in all?

i was between VVME (who ive only heard good things about) and the oem kit, i picked up a used OEM k6 kit with new bulbs for $270 shipped... the install is much easier because the ballasts mount in the OEM location on the bottom of the housing. All in all its plug and play, you just have to wire the power for the ballasts.. no error lights or anything!

So the simplicity would be a 1? It's a plug and play besides a bit of wiring, Did I get it?

Also, Does it invalidate any warranties or anything on the cars? Sorry if these questions sound a bit silly just don't know much about these sort of things ,

    Cheers,
    Ben

It really depends on the end result you are after. You can buy the headlamp and OEM ballast bulb combo or you can drop in a conversion kit to your existing housings. I get my HID stuff from a good budy that imports them (PM me if you want me to get you in touch with him, about $160 a set total plug and play) but I already upgraded to the Euro Ecode Bi-Xenon housings. Come to think of it .. if you want a set of OEM HID housing lemme know too !

Wow. 160 $? That is very cheap.... Where is he importing them from? Are those fully compatible with the Audi? A noobie question, but can those xenon's be used for any other car as well ?

If you have an Audi, you may as well go all out and get the Audi ones. They will just look better and will have the Audi name which means it includes the Audi promise. You really can't compete with that.
