Hi I've recently purchased a 54 Reg Audi
A4 Avant 1.9TDi Sport, and have been experiencing an annoying fault. I have an intermittent clunking noise coming from around the front brake/suspension area. It only occurs when braking to a standstill and again when driving off. It is more evident when braking lightly and always occurs twice, as if something is loose, moving out and back into position. I took it to my local garage to have the brakes checked, and they found a bent traction control arm. This, as well as replacing the front pads, has failed to core the problem. I still have 6 months Audi warranty remaining, but am unsure whether the fault will be covered, as I suspect it’s not a manufacturing defect. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
