Default Audi TTS Range-Topper Gets a Green Light for Australia

The fire-breathing TTS Roadster is bound to turn heads on the Audi stand at the Melbourne International Motor Show 2008. It is the first S model TT to be released by the luxury carmaker from Ingolstadt.

Audi’s latest design success will be launched in Australia around July 2008 in both Coupe and Roadster guise. Both vehicles will come with a handy 200 kW and 350 Nm of power and will be available in with a 2.0 TFSI engine with choice of S tronic or manual transmission.

The TTS will naturally arrive complete with all S model trimmings including standard quattro all-wheel drive, S model badging, and stainless steel design details.

Pricing and specification will be released closer to the Australian launch date. Audi Australia anticipates this range-topping TTS will be a very popular addition to an already-sought after model. Around 100 units are expected to be sold in the 6 months to December 2008.

With a very broad appeal across the luxury car buying public, the Audi TTS driver is likely to be an active, social, culturally-minded 25 to 64 year old with a strong interest in fashion, architecture and design.
