Default Worst Audi dealer in San Diego

I bought a certified pre-owned 03 a4 quattro with the 3.0 v6 6 speed manual transmission from Audi Escondido. They gave me a great price at $20,000 with 46,000 miles on it.

Unfortunately I started having problems right away. First the windshield cracked because it was so pitted. Had to pay out of pocket but I did at least get a courtesy car. Next about a month later the battery died. I couldn't find an audi battery anywhere around my area except at the dealer.

Had to have my car towed to the dealer and pay out of pocket again to have the battery replaced. They were more hesitant about giving me a courtesy car, instead offering a shuttle ride. I insisted and they relented and gave me a loaner car for the day.

Last week I went on a snowboarding trip up to mammoth. I was really looking forward to doing some snow driving. About 40 miles outside of town my A/C compressor blew and shredded the serpentine belt. I had to have it towed to a local mechanics shop because the nearest audi dealer is over 100 miles in the wrong direction.

I got a complete run around and no useful help from Eric in the service department at Audi Esccondido. Dido with audi roadside. The car is still sitting up there waiting to be fixed. I can't even get a courtesy car from the dealer to get back up there.

I had to go in twice yelling and threating to get anyone to even make some phone calls. As it stands it looks as though audi roadside MIGHT be loaning me a car and towing me to the nearest audi dealer. Not sure if I'll have to pay for the tow because they usually only cover 25 miles of towing.

Audi escondido is a fairly new dealer in the Pensky automotive group and they are trying to rapidly expand. If you are considering buying an audi in San Diego don't go with them.

I recommend Hoen audi. They have steeper prices but now I understand why. Plus the salesman there was a really awesome guy. He was a German guy and ex-mercedes mechanic who let us go for a very spirited test drive. I am really kicking myself for not giving him my business.
