A6 Sports Seats vs Standard Seats

Hi there; am currently considering a new Allroad but have posted this here because the question will likley attract a wider response and applies equally to the A6.
Am testing an A6 Allroad for a few days with sports seats but my wife finds the firm side bolsters very uncomfortable. Does anybody have experience of the A6 with both the sports seats and the standard seats and can they comment on the relative comfort of the 2 seats? I assume the standard seats have lower edges. How do you find them after several hours at the wheel?

And separately (and unrelated) what sort of economy do you obtain from a 2.7TDI Tiptronic Quattro. An 80 mile trip down the M4 this morning suggested 37 mpg which if true would be excellent!
