| | 2003 A4: Problems With Service Please forgive the long post, but I must vent. Please tell me if I should be upet with this or not....
I bought a 2003 A4 in the begining of December from Vision Audi in Reading, PA. It is a 1.8t, with sport package and winter package. I have the remainder of the factory 50,000 mile warrnety (has 30,000 miles on it now), and the extended, certified warrenty to 100,000 miles. I love the car, but man, I hate it too. |

| | So far, in just over a month, I have had it in for service 2 times, and it needs to go in AGAIN! First was when it had to be towed on Christmas Eve Eve off the PA Turnpike. No power and could not go above 45 mph. Nearest Audi dealer was the one I bought it from. They got to it on Monday and I was left without a car for Christmas weekend (the dealership was closed, and roadside assistance could not authorize a rental). They replaced a $40 part, something to do with the ignition-- treated me like I was a dumb kid because the check engine light was on and I had it towed (I was going to get hit on the turnpike if I tried to drive it off!!). |

| | Then, the windshield wiper spray stopped working. Right after a snow storm. Took a week to get local Audi Service to get it in to fix. Took an hour, something about a fuse shorted out and Audi had a technical bulliten on it. This was after they told me that it was going to take all day, but could not give me a rental, but they did give me a ride home-- one vacation day used! |

| | Now, today, the right headlight went out (bulb completely blown), and the left one is going on and off (it goes back on if I literally hit the front shield). Local Audi service cannot look at it until the begining of February, and they said that a headlight out is not an emergency and if I have a problem with that, I should probably not drive at nite (It gets dark at 5 pm, I work until 5, and drive to many client sites, so driving in the dark is a requirement!). |

| | I love driving the car, but the little things that have gone wrong are annoying. If service was good, I would not complain, but I am treated poorly by the service people and I think that it is totally unacceptable that it takes almost 2 weeks to get into a dealership to replace a headlight. If that is the case that they are that backed up, Audi's must be horrible cars! |

| | I am calling my sales guy tomorrow to voice my displeasure on my purchase. My girlfriend has a convertable 2002 TT which has also had a ton of electrical problems (and she is treated very badly by the dealership too, but we thought it was because she bought the car in Florida). We thought it was just her car because her Dad's S8 is awesome with no problems. But with my A4 having problems, and her TT's problems, I do not think I will ever buy another Audi. |
