Default Temperature Gauge dies

Hi all,

Had the oil changed in my 2001 A4 Tdi 2 weeks back, since having had it changed, on a couple of occasions now whilst the engine is at running temp, the gauage has just died and sat right at the bottom for 5 - 10 minutes then risen back upto normal temp. Any ideas? Possible a temp sensor could be loose?

Cheers.
