 Just bought a 97 a4 1.8t. Allready have problems p1613... Just bought a 97 a4 1.8t. Allready have problems p1613... Mainly the auto tranny feels awkward when it shifts. It just shifts at wierd rpms sometimes upshifting too soon. It shifts smooth, but definitely doesnt seem right. So I find it has 1 code. P1613. I am assuming this has somthing to do twith the tranny. It say it a MIL fault B+. I dont even know where to begin with this. Nobody seems to have a solid aswer as to how to fix this. Some people say to possibly replace the TCM? Other than that the car is great, runs quiet and engine is smooth. the car has 127,00 miles. Last service was recorded at 90K. A new cylinder head was installed along with all fluids and whatnot at the dealership. Ima try to make some time tomorrow to get under the car and check all connections at tranny Please help me out if possible, thanks  |
