Default APR chip

I recently picked up an 03 2.7t and am thinking about the apr chip. I am really new to this and could use some guidance. I know on my truck superchips sent you a mini computer to program you computer. Do these guys do the same thing?? The dyno results look really good. Any of you have it on the 6 and does you car match the dyno results? Any help will be great.
