Buying 04-06 TT.. And has Questions!

I'm buying an 04-06 Audi TT for the wife as a birthday gift. She fell in love with this bodystyle a few years ago and hasn't let me forget it! I just have a few questions:

Coupe or convertible? Is there a huge difference (besides losing the two back seats, and one not having a hard top)? I live in the northern suburbs of Minnesota, and it WILL be driven in the winter at some point - so should I stick with the coupe, or go with the convetible? Is the convertible as quiet? Does the top fit nicely enough to keep the heat in?

Best color? This is an opinion of course, but I'm interested in what people have to say. I was thinking black, or silver.

FWD or AWD? Like I said, it will be driven in the winter time, so traction is key. Her current car (05 Lexus RX) has FWD and she doesn't seem to mind during the winter months, but it also has a lot more ground clearence than the TT does?

Also, is there anything that I should look for specifically, or would be a good determining factor when purchasing?
