 Overheat/Engine Coolant light? I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice about this highly annoying light. I have a 2000 TT with 80,000 and in the past few weeks, when I turn the car on, the thermometer pops up in the info center and beeps. After the car runs for a few minutes, it goes away but two days ago, it started beeping when I was driving. I looked in the manual and it said either the engine was too hot and/or my coolant level was low. My problem with that is: the temp guage w/ the needle does not indicate engine overheat, it stays in the middle. So...do I put more coolant in the car and see if that helps? Do I take it to the mechanic and get his opinion? Has anyone ever had this happen? If you have any suggestions, please let me know.  |
