Installed a chrome intake but engine heats up... ne one know y? I bought this chrome intake on ebay but found out that it was some cheap filter, which i expected, but still had hopes.. I bought it because i live in the houston area where it floods alot so I dont want a cold air and brands like carbonio are too expensive...Anyways I bought a AEM dry-flow filter to replace the chrome intake. For some reason my engine keeps lagging and the coolant temperature goes to H, especially when i have my engine on at rest or slow moving (such as traffic)... alot of people told me the intake was taking in hot air so i should get a heat shield for my intake.... does anyone know where I can get one or if it is even necessary? (btw I also just replaced the coolant hoses and checked if there were any leaks anywhere in the coolant) .... anyone? cincy? |
