slow response "Quattro system"

I was driving on some small mountain roads the other day and with permission from the lady started pushing it a bit.but to my and her surprise when accelerating out off hair pin's the inner front wheel would, for quit a moment, lose its grip before the traction was transferred to the other wheels.all this without the electronics(esp)lighting up. is this normal??I had a Opel Calibra Turbo 4x4 witch never had these kind of problems why??
