Breitling - Official Time Keeper of Audi MedCup

Breitling has been involved in supporting grand prix level yacht racing in Spain for many years, most famously for lending its name to the popular Breitling Regatta in Puerto Portals in Majorca each year.

Breitling has also been the title sponsor of the MedCup circuit from its humble beginnings four years ago until the end of the heady days of 2007. Having positively nurtured the circuit for the first four years, from a small series of races in Spain and Italy to what is now the world’s leading regatta circuit, Breitling can feel rightly proud of its founding role in what is now generally felt to be the best circuit racing in the most exciting keelboat, the TP52 - the class of choice for America’s Cup teams, professional sailors, owner-drivers, Olympic champions and royalty.

Breitling has now passed the mantle of title sponsor of the MedCup Circuit on to AUDI AG, but remains heavily involved with the Audi MedCup Circuit. Specifically Breitling has the role of Official Time Keeper for all six regattas of the 2008 Audi MedCup Circuit. Breitling will also be again lending its name to the Breitling Regatta in Puerto Portals this year. This event will be the fourth regatta of the 2008 Audi MedCup Circuit and will take place between 21st and 26th July.

The 2008 Audi MedCup Circuit – the World’s Leading Regatta Circuit - consists of six regattas over five months in four countries across Southern Europe for the TP52 Class of racing yacht.
