i'm not sure of the exact configuration of the way that starter is hooked up, but these are some general guidlines. first disconnect the battery (very important, although it does create a cool shower of sparks off your wrench when you don't.....) then take all the wires off the solenoid and make sure remember where they all go. Take the hardest bolt to get to off first, which is usually the top one. then take the bottom one off. you may need to tap the started with a rubber mallet to get it to slide out of its housing, but make sure you slide it straight out. and dont drop it on your fingers.. |
