Default Grinding in the rear diff?

Hi All,

I noticed a couple days ago a slight grinding noise coming from the rear of my car. I know the rear brakes are getting down but I did not think they were that worn. Also, the sond mainly comes when taking a curve at more then 20 mph and it does not vary when brakes are applied. It sounds rotational so I am thinking if not braked then diff. Maybe it needs oil?

Sorry for going on so long
