Suspension work.

Hi, I'm starting to work on the suspension of my car due to a slight vibration/grinding noise in the front end. The wheels are balanced, and I just replaced the brakes and rotors hoping that that would solve the problem. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on where to start and work my way back. I would hope not to have to just replace everything at once due to wallet capacity. I was also wondering if anyone would be willing to take a picture of their stock suspension and post it so i can tell if the rubber parts look right in my car. Mine seem kind of squished. Any help would be appreciated.
