 Difference between B5, B6, B7 and B8 A lot of people seem to ask the question: What is the difference between the Audi B5, B6, B7 and B8? The answer is easy, it is there year when they were built. Audi A4 B5 (1996 - 2001) The car that dominates BTCC championship, the model that propels Audi in BMW and Merc territory and created the German Trio instead of the German Duo.  Audi A4 B6 (2001 - 2005) Total revamp, new chassis, new tranny, heavily revised engine  Audi A4 B7 (2005 - 2007) Everything new except it's the same platform, incorporates Audi's new family look derived from Concept Nuvolari (same interior space and eerily identical cockpit)  Audi A4 B8 (2008 - ) Total new model compared to B7, which is essentially a heavily revised B6 platform   |
