Default Flying female Finn set for Audi test.

Teenager Emma Kimilainen is lined up for DTM test as a possible replacement for Vanina Ickx.

Audi have begun their search for a female driver to replace Vanina Ickx by providing a test for up and coming youngster Emma Kimilainen.

Ickx endured two frustrating seasons in her two-year old Audi A4, the Belgian regularly unable to challenge Mercedes' female contender, Susie Stoddart.

Nonetheless, despite Ickx failing to score, Audi are expected to continue reaping the marketing benefits a female driver brings to the brand by searching for a direct replacement for her.

Although options are likely to be relatively scarce, Kimilainen is touted to be one of the most promising young female drivers coming through the ranks having won races in the Finnish Radical Championship.

Just 18-years-old, Kimilainen confirmed to Finland's MTV3 that she will take part in a test with Audi over the coming months, although no deal is thought to be in the offing just yet. Kimilainen comes with the backing of former Formula 1 driver Stefan Johansson too.
