    Default Audi A6 Strange malfunctions

Hello: I believe but do not know if my 2003 avant has a brain malfuntion(s). The right front headlight sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. The memory for the driver's seat sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Each brake light has failed and it was not the fault of the bulb (I replaced them) and then began working again on their own. A brake warning signal has lit on the dash and has remained on even though the brakes are fine (I had them checked by a responsible mechanic). Does anyone have any idea what is going on? Thanks, Larry

Hello Larry welcome to Audi Forum,

Those sure are strange malfunctions. I believe there is a fault in the control modules,Not sure though. Have you checked for any fault codes?? If not, do check for the fault codes so that the proper cause of these malfunctions can be determined and get it fixed. Hope you get it fixed soon,

    Best Regards

    Hey Larry,

Welcome to Audi Forum. As Joshi said, that's indeed very strange to hear so many malfunctions. I advice you to get your Ride, checked completely in a nearby Audi service station. This will help you better . Get your car fixed as soon as possible .

    Default Audi Brain Malfunctions

Thanks to all who replied. Do you think Audi itself would have an answer? I called there and they simply said "Go to a dealer" who I am sure would replace many things at significant cost in the hopes that something they replaced would fix the problems, so I am not keen on that route. Is there someone at Audi who is actually responsive and who has enough experience and insight to help with odd problems?
    Thanks again, Larry

    Hello again Larry,

Sadly, the only option for you now as of now would only be to take your Audi to your Dealer or a local mechanic, as it would be really tough for anybody to exactly diagnose what exactly is going wrong in your Audi without physically inspecting it or checking for the fault codes. Hope you get your Audi fixed soon.

    Best Regards

Does anyone think it could be a common problem, say, the voltage is too high, which affects several electrical functions? What should the voltmeter on the dash read in normal conditions? Is there any other comon possibility?
    Thanks.
