Audi S4: A wealth of power - and nowhere to use it


As an incitement to irresponsible behaviour potentially leading to civil disobedience, Audi's new 2010 S4 has few peers, yet its air of understated Germanic four-door civility is such a perfect disguise only those who know what its badge stands for, or perhaps takes note of those rim-wrapping tires, would ever guess.

This new-generation S4 hot rod is loaded to the beltline with high-tech go-fast stuff and created by some of the keenest car types you'll find in any of the world's factories, making it capable of going extremely quickly, extremely competently. Yet, all I could see through its windshield were speed limit signs that top out at about 100 km/h.
