Default Audi Q5 Purchasing and negotiating

Hey guys. I want to buy a Q5. I've encountered little negotiation on the part of the dealerships. Any suggestions? I realize the Q5 is a hot car right now, inventory is short and demand is up, but you'd think you could still negotiate a price lower than MSRP.
I was provided a pricing sheet and I've determined a Q5+ with nav to be $45,225 (including the $825 destination charge) and the invoice is $42,117, would a price somewhere between the two be reasonable?? Seems everyone is holding to MSRP with the low inventory.

I've bought a few cars and have traveled from Virginia to Texas and Ohio to purchase when the deal is right..so far no luck.

Any advice sharing is appreciated. thanks.

In Arizona I was able to get one ordered for $1,000 off MSRP. The Q5's instock werent equipped the way I wanted but they were willing to go $1500 off MSRP on those.
I have read others getting up to $2500 off MSRP along the east side of the USA.
The demand is still pretty high but they are loosening up a little on the pricing I believe.

Hi BigJohn Welcome to Audi Forum

May be i will give you a hint, check out the car's manufacture date and depending on that you can demand you discount. If its a 2 months old stock (for example) you can demand i guess $1000 on the MSRP.

That's a great price! I was able to easily get down to $47,425 for Black/Cinn S Line Premium Plus w/Nav and /B/O without any major negotiating ($1500 off MSRP) but never entertained Prestige given price point. Keyless start would be great and standard on other cars like Infiniti FX35.

Can you provide assistance re: agent you described above? I am in Mid Atlantic region -- Philly.

I'll ask my agent to see if she can contact you by end of next week.

That means you got your car for BELOW dealer invoice, Edmunds.com lists a Q5 Prestige S line (w/Nav) at $51,026 dealer invoice and $54,825 MSRP. Is any of this info incorrect on the Edmunds site?

Default Price paid for 2010 Q5

Hi, new member here. Been a German car owner for years (BMW, VW), just bought my first Audi last week.

I bought here in Southern Cali a 2010 Q5 Premium Plus, MMI, Midnight blue, Cinnamon interior with upgraded 19" wheels. Price (excluding tax was $45,050). I found the AMEX car service website a good tool to get an idea of what the car should cost.

Other things to consider..as total cost of ownership is more important than price paid (unless you are paying cash I suppose). Audi is offering 3.9% financing for 60 months, and making the first payment (up to $1000) for you. This is NOT deferred interest, but actually making the first payment. Also, don't forget the 2010 sales tax Federal Stimulus package. You have until Dec 31 to buy a car and regardless of whether you itemize or take a standard deduction - you can can claim the sales tax you pay and reduce your tax base. This is NOT a tax credit. Go to the IRS to check it out. Sales tax here in SoCal is 9.75%. I saved nearly $900 on my taxes this year by buying before the end of the year. Was gonna get it in January - but jumped on it now to save the extra $$.

Sorry if this sounds like a sales ad. Love the car. Its awesome!
