    Default Audi Q5 noise

my q5 (2010, prestige with 1.4k miles on it) is getting louder and louder.
the engine noise is loud but acceptable at low speed, however the engine/transimission and road noise is driving me crazy at 65 - 80 miles.
Of course the dealer says he can not hear the noise at all
    any suggestion?

    Hey realcdt,

If your are not sure that the noise from your Q5 is abnormal, I'd suggest you to request a drive in some other Q5 from your dealer and check if the same level of noise exists in the other Q5's as well.

    Regards

are you sure is engine noise and not wind noise. Are you driving it with the roof rails on it??. It really makes a lot of wind noise @ high speed. In my 09 Q5 I heard like a hauling but is not annoying.

The roof rails are packed in my basement, I have absolutely no intention to use that at all.
The engine noise is obviously there even when the car is in a complete stop. As i mentioned earlier, that does not really bother me too much.
The problem is the combination of mutiple noises on high way

    Exclamation

I have the same problem (exact same Q5/prestige '10) except my Dealer could hear it and thought it was a problem (at that time anyway).

Now that they have found out they can't fix it (after replacing the drive shaft and mufflers), they are saying they cannot do anything about it.

I noticed it doesn't matter about the speed, but the RPM of the engine and the load on it.

It always does it at 2500 with the correct load.

It is noticeably louder in the back seat.

    Can you confirm?
