Default Audi A3 Alarm Sound from boot
Hi, new to this Forum, have an A3 TDI (03) recently on initial starting the engine hear four alarm beeps which sound as if they are coming from the boot area, nothing on instrument panel and nothing in handbook about it has anyone any idea what this is?

Hello Ed welcome to Audi forum,

The backup battery in the siren must be dead or a low voltage battery in the siren would cause the problem. Replace the backup battery as soon as possible.

Joshi, thanks always wondered what the black box in the boot was, where is the battery how do I change it?

Hello Ed, Have a look at this link The Audi TT Forum • View topic - How to - MK1 Alarm Siren fix, It is that of tt but i'm sure this will helo you out as they must be similar.
