Default Audi A4 revs/idling problem when coming to a stop??

hi all
i have a 1998 audi a4, since i brought it(last week) ive noticed that every time i am driving its all good, but when i come to a stop(clutch in at lights, or straight into neutral make no difference) the revs drop down then up then down again etc and it almost stalls! then 5 seconds after doind so it goes back to its normal idle. then i drive off. and stop and again it does it again. but have noticed when this happens the erract idle, the excellerater moves with the revs. can feel it against my foot throbbing away. please any ideas?????

Hello mr.A4 welcome to Audi forum,

I think that the problem must be due to the IACV. Get your IACV checked first, it could be bad or clogged resulting in abnormal idling. Hope you get it fixed soon
