Unhappy Audi A4 strange Engine problems

I have a rather interesting problem.

My engine will not shut off until I open the door. But, they key turns off other stuff, like the windshield washers?

Add to this, when I use the key in the door lock, it will open the windows like it should, but the locks do not work (lock or unlock). However, if I am inside the car and lock the doors using the button located by the window controls, the locks work fine. This is a 99.5 if that helps.

Hello welcome to Audi forum,

This is the strangest issue that i have heard of! . I think there must be a problem with your control modules. I'd suggest you to check for fault codes so that the cause of this strange malfunction could be diagnosed properly. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Regards

Tried that, I have a registered version of VCCS and their OBD cable. There are no error codes (except for the ABS, but that I can handle)

I suspect that you are right, that the ECU is giving up the ghost, I was just hoping some one had another idea, like maybe a short in the dash, or a leaking vacuum line somewhere.

On, and thanks for the welcome

Hello again, Pretty strange that your car is not throwing any fault codes despite the malfunctions, I believe it must be the problems with your control modules. I'd suggest you to consult your Audi service so that the proper cause of the malfunction can be diagnosed and get it fixed. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Regards

Thanks again, but I'll need to diagnose it myself. My local Audi dealer is an hour away, and after the few experiences I have had, I will torch the car before I take it to them again.
