Default Audi A4 oil leak

MAJOR oil leak today - service is telling me I need to have cam seals, adjusters, and gears replaced. Is this normal for a car wtih 97k on it or is it a known Audi issues? Also, just had the car back for the 105K service which included replacement of the water pump and timing belt. Timing of all of this seems suspicious - any opinion out there on if something wrong in the service could have caused the current issue? Quote is $5500!

Oil leak @ 97k is normal and can be caused due to a number of different reasons. But I'd suggest you to take it to any other service centre or a garage to find out whether they are true about the component failures.
Hope you get it fixed soon.

Hello Mike, you are welcome. Oil leaks at around 100k is quite common due to wear and tear in various components. This is a common problem in most of the cars produced by various manufacturers not only Audi's. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Best Regards
