Audi Q5 S-Tronic Fault & Annoying Sound
Hi, I am driving brand new Q5 2.0 TFSI S-tronic. I have two problems:
1. Rpm variations whenever I achieve a steady speed
2. When I use the auto hold/breake system and whenewer I stop, relase brake pedal and green "P" light indicates on the control panel I hear the annoying sound from the dashboard - like quiet, soft high sound (squeal of relay/transmitter?)
I will be very grateful for any suggestions... Thanks a lot.

Hello Martin welcome to Audi forum,
Regarding the rpm variations in your Audi Q5 with S-Tronic it is a known issue as discussed in this thread Audi Q5 2.0 tfsi cruise control rpm variations Audi expects to have it fixed in November. But still inform your audi dealership regarding this issue so that they might guide you to get this problem fixed . And regarding the noise you are experiencing in your dashboard i am not sure on what is causing this. As yours is a Brand new Q5 i suggest you to take it to your Dealership so that they can diagnose the exact cause of this issue and get it fixed right away ifthere is any

Once again - thanks for the answer. One more q: does this problem exist with other engines (with S-tronic) in the range of Q5 (3.2 FSI or 3.0 TDI)?

Hello again Martin , I'm not sure on this . As far as i know i think only the 2.0 TFSI engines with S-tronic have encountered this problem, Not sure though ! . Have you contacted your Dealer regarding this issue ?

Hello Joshi,
I was in my Dealer yesterday, as you said - the problem is well known. They installed the new software to the S-tronic and told me they still waiting for new software for the engine. After this instalation the improvement is rather small - maybe a variations are smaller, but still this problem exist. Maybe change of engine softwer will handle this problem, I HOPE.... If you have any new information, let me know, please....

Audi dealership here in Athens Greece updated the software for the gearbox and the improvement was around 70%. The problem still exists but is less annoying.
