Yes ,You can enable DVD playback while driving . Have a look here

TV free module (Audi MMI 3G) - Q5 - Audi

You can try and get a better deal by emailing them , than the price on the web.

Hello again patrick,

I suppose this is plugged into the diagnostics port, and it downloads something onto the MMI , presumably which unlocks the video in motion and then locks the module to the vehicle.... so it can only be used on one car.... then you disconnect the module. You can get it from kufatec too KUFATEC GmbH - TV / DVD in Motion - MMI 3G - Audi A5, Q5, Q7, A6 4F, A8 4E 36942

If you have access to a VCDS or a nice Audi dealer you can do it for free. Search for trick77 VIM with Google.

Hello! I just leased an S4. Oh my do I love this car! I would like to unlock the dvd capabilities while moving. The retailer featured in the above link does not ship to the U.S. Has anyone found a stateside retailer selling the module required to unlock dvd playback in the MMI 3G nav system?

Check out eBay, item #180446100822, Freischaltung Audi MMI 3G. I paid $85 for the unit and it works like a charm. They are based in Poland but ship anywhere. I got my unit shipped to my door in about 8 days.
