Repairing windshield chip or replace windshield.

Hello my car was victim of a stone chip to the front windshield today. When these are repaired is the repaired area visible? It is the size of a pencil eraser and there are no cracks. I am concerned that if they replace it, it will be obvious that it was replaced-visible bead of glue, sloppy work etc...I am very particular when it comes to stuff like this so i want it to look good. Any help will be appreciated
