Default A6 Rear brake lights 2005 model

My passenger reak brake light has fused and i need to replace it. The drivers manual says take it to a mechanic to get it changed as it requires removal of some components. Does anybody know how to access the light cluster from the boot to change the bulb itself. Its too obvious from first glance. The only models had circles in the boot which would cover a bolt but in the new A6 i see no such thing.
