A4 1.8T battery change

Hello

I am having real problems starting my A4. It's as if the battery has been drained. At first it was turning over really sluggishly, and eventually nothing at all. I will try the ignition and when i turn the key back to off the speedometer vibrates up and down and a rattling sound occurs. Weird?!

I have used a battery charger and recharged the battery for over 6 hours. Afterwards it started fine. I left it over night and then tried it again in the morning and totally dead again.

I decieded to buy a new battery and change it myself. How the hell do you get the battery out?? It doesnt seem to be bolted or held on by anything (unless its underneath) but it wont budge an inch.

This is the most recent of a long list of problems I have had with my car.

Hmm, there should be a single allen bolt at the front of the battery. The bolt has to be removed as it holds the battery in place. Then make sure to check the bottom sides of the battery. On my A6 there are little clips where the bottom battery edge slid into.
