Winter Mode Questions I got my 2000 S4 and I'm loving it. It came with fk silverline coilovers and the stock suspension was given to me in a box in the trunk.
Even though I have a feeling that the winter here in New England will be mild this season I'm getting my snow's put on tomorrow morning (plus an alignment) which means I need to either put the stock suspension back on, or raise the coilovers. I'm lazy, so I'm leaning towards just raising the coil overs. So my question is what is the stock ride height for a 2000 s4? Should I raise it above that? what should i raise it to?
I've never adjusted coilovers before anything i should know? How do you get the car to the right ride height? trial and error?
I recall reading in some post that if coil overs are going to be left on for the winter you should put some kind of homemade mixture of wax/oil on them to keep the winter + salt from rusting them frozen. Does anyone know what i'm talking about?
Thanks guys and gals |
