Default blauparts reviews?

hello,

i am the very happy fourth owner of a 1992 ur S4.

i have had good experiences with the local Audi dealer's service department.

they are even willing to install owner supplied parts.

they will only warranty their installation, not the parts. (does this not seem reasonable? with any warranty i expect to go to the responsible supplier of the product or service wouldn't you?)

this leads me to asking for information about Blaufergnugen Inc (aka. Blauparts).

i asked a nameless attorney to review the "Comprehensive Policy" posted on the Blaufergnugen website. the conclusion was there is a disconnect between "The products, services, or information on this site are provided on an 'as is' basis with no warranty." and "If you feel your circumstances allow for the consideration of warranty and you need a part for repairs, you must contact us first!"

i was advised to telephone the vendor for clarification.

i attempted to do this twice today during the vendor's published business hours, with no sucess. i was finally dumped out of hold without choice into voice mail for a call back.

now, i understand the online business model. no need for order takers, cs reps, toll free numbers, etc. etc. but this is a toll call, the business hours are all weekday prime time and i would expect being able to choose to wait however long it took to reach a live person. (i have worked on the other side of the counter.)

i need feedback on this vendor, before i commit to spending any money with them. the prices and selection are great, but my experience on the phone today indicates a vendor that does not have their act together. or is so overwhelmed that telephone customer service is non existant which even in the online world is not acceptable.

any feedback is very much appreciated.
