Default A4-2003- Bose power amp problems

my radio keeps cutting off. I'm assuming it's the bose amp.
Any suggestions on how to diagnose the issue. is it the head or the amp. (btw, I located the amp in the trunk)

Hi jalatorre57,

thank you for joining our forum!

I personally do not know exactly why your Bose radio system keeps on cutting off but depending of where you are driving your A4 would first check all cable connectors for oxidation - if you have not done it yet .... Due to the high power consumption of the Bose system it might also be useful to check the deciated fuse for the system or even to replace it.

Please let all users know what you have done/checked so far and I am pretty sure there will be somebody who can provide you with further help if required.

Greetings from Germany!
Jürgen

Thanks for the reply. I'm located in California very little humidity and very stable climate. I pull the poweramp from the trunk and clean the contacts on the harness that conects the power amp to the head unit.
Power Amps demand high current and heat sometimes does funny things with semiconductors and solder joints. But I will look into the dedicated fuse. Where is this located? in the fuse box?
