S4 questions!

What up all! hey I have a few questions about the S4! I´m looking to get another audi I had a 2001 A4 2.8, and I loved it! and I´m looking to get another one, but I want it to be a little faster and more sporty! I´ve been depating between, the s4 or the 1.8 t and putting the basic mods on it like the chip, and a new exaust, and air intake! but I would really like to get the s4 but I´m worried about the realiablity, I´ve heard some horor stories about the s4! and I want to get a reliable car that I don´t have to worry about soaking alot of money into just to keep it running! So how reliable is the s4, I´m talking the older 200-2002 bi-turbos? also what is more reliable the 2001 1.8 T or the 2000-2002 S4? please help me out and give me some advice, I know this is a newb question! but you guys have more experiences with the s4s than I do! also what car would you recomend, the 2001 A4 1.8t modded up a bit to 220 Hp or the S4? I just a good reliable car, becasue I´m a collage kid that doesn´t want to fork out alot just on maintance! It wwill be my daily driver, so I want good car that will last! please help me out! thanks!
