2001 S4 water pump/timing belt replacement hey guys, I am the proud owner of a 2001 S4, which i love almost more than life itself. it is a early 2001 model, so it had the old turbos with smaller oil lines on it. the previous owner caught the turbos whinin before any damage ocurred, and they were replaced only 5k miles ago. How long should the new ones last? i dont race the car or even drive it really hard. Also, the water pump and timing belt were replaced at around 40k, which sounds to me like it was a bit earlier than necessary. the car has 73k on it now, and i have warranty to 100k. How soon will it be prudent to replace the water pump and timing belt again? i obviously want to do it before 100k so it is under warranty, (at least the water pump) and i will pay for the timing belt while the front of the car is off. Finally, how long should the clutch last, and how much will that cost to replace (im hoping that if it is ever necessary it will be under warranty.
Thanks guys |
