Default thump or thud when coming to stop/braking
I hear a thump or thud on the driver's side front when I am braking and coming to a stop. I have 96 a4 quattro 2.8L. I just had the lower driver's side tie-rod replaced and a front alignment done. I thought that it might be a spring but after doing some research I wonder if it could be the lower control arm.

Can anyone provide some guidance on this?

either control arm or a shock would be my guess
